A van from the agency picked-up tour participants from their hotel and were brought to the agency’s office and were then grouped into the different tours availed. There were at least 20 tourists for the Small Circuit Tour that day and we had an air-conditioned minibus for transport. The a/c is something to look forward to after every temple visited. It was nice to have a tour guide who explains each temples visited as well as the interpretation of the designs.

The first stop of the tour was at the ticketing area where a temple pass is purchased. The pass is available in 1-day (20 USD), 3-day (40 USD), or 7-day (60 USD) access. The 3-day pass can be used three times within a one-week period while the 7-day pass can be used seven times within a one-month period. Holes are made in the pass at the checkpoint and will be the basis for counting the number of visits you’ve already availed. Your photo will be taken on the day of purchase and will be printed on your pass.

Since I planned to do both the Small and Grand Circuit tours, I purchased the 3-day temple pass. We visited all the temples listed in the provided itinerary. We were a bit late going to Phnom Bakheng since one person from the tour didn’t come back in time from our stop in Bayon Temple. There were already lots of people queued up at Bakheng when we got there. Thankfully, I was still able to see a little hint of the sunset when I got the pass to go up the highest viewing area.

Below are some of the photos taken during this tour. Details about the tour agency are provided at the end of the post.
